Non-Human and HR Resources

Non-Human resources like meeting rooms, vehicles and other resources that need to be scheduled, are created in SDI as non-human users.

Non-Human users may become the owners of events in The Calendar, but are not able to log into the system or receive tasks. For all practical reasons, non-human users do not function as an active user and therefore is only used for scheduling.

When scheduling events for non-human resources, the person who creates the events need to be the owner of a GROUP. A GROUP owner may create events on behalf of someone else. The owner of a GROUP will have an additional "Owner" field on all event forms. Use this "Owner" field to select the owner of the event. When the owner is non-human, simply select the owner as you would any other user in the system.

When using the HR module, it is possible to register employees as HR Resources or Prospects. This is needed to add HR resources when they do not need SDI login access. These users are billed at a different rate and do not have access to the SDI Portal.
