Maintenance Schedules

Recurring maintenance and maintenance contracts can be done on Orax SDI with ease. Using the Service registry and the Service schedules you can pre-create Job Cards for recurring maintenance.

Use the following examples to build a comprehensive maintenance schedule. The most important aspect of a maintenance schedule is the recuring months and start after/before months. Using this combination you can create a complex maintenance schedule for all scenarios.

  • Simple 3 monthly schedule: Recurring: 3 months, Start after/before: 0 months

  • Simple 6 monthly schedule: Recurring: 6 months, Start after/before: 0 months

  • Simple annual schedule: Recurring: 12 months, Start after/before: 0 months

  • Complex Major 12 month schedule: Recurring: 12 months, Start after/before: 0 months

  • Complex Minor 8 month schedule: Recurring: 12 months, Start after/before: -4 months

  • Complex Minor 4 month schedule: Recurring: 12 months, Start after/before: -8 months

In the above Complex schedule, notice how the 4 month service starts 8 months before the "start date". This means that it will be due 4 months after the "start date". The 8 month service starts 4 months before the "start date" and the 12 month service starts on the "start date". The start date is the day the item is sold to the customer or setup in the service registry. All three of the complex schedules will recur every 12 months but at different times because of the start after/before months. These are setup as negative months to start the schedule before the start date and ensure that it becomes due within the first year.

The "start after/before" and "expire after" can also be used to create schedules that apply to the age of equipment. Eg. during the first 3 years they undergo a certain schedule, whereafter a new more intense maintenance schedule starts.
