As the System Administrator of your SDI environment, part of your responsibility is to maintain User accounts.
Users are identified uniquely by an Email address and a User number. Once registered, a user's email address becomes his/her logon username.
If you are required to register users who do not have email addresses (for instance Time and Attendance workers), create usernames for them and prepend a "zz_" to and a fake email address to prevent email sending to that address. You may also create username that are not email addresses like ID numbers. The zz_ or absence of a domain will prevent the system from trying to send email to these non-existent email addresses.
In the interest of system security it is important that each user has a unique and secure password. Insecure passwords may open security holes in the system and possibly expose your company's data to unwanted persons. Remember that the data in this system is of critical importance to your company and should not be compromised by weak security policies.
